Natural paradise

Colonia de Sant Jordi - Mallorca

  • Cabrera National Park

Boat trip to discover Cabrera Island

Mallorca is a Mediterranean piece of paradise. Thanks to a unique combination of sea and mountains, this island is one of the favorite destinations for nature, sports and sea lovers. One of the excursions that we recommend at Villa Chiquita is to discover the island of Cabrera, a turquoise paradise that has the character of being a National Park (which guarantees strict access control), offering a spectacular version of pure authentic Mediterranean nature. You can only access the island of Cabrera by hiring a boat excursion, both private and in a group, which we will be happy to help you organize at reception.

  • Local markets in the south of Mallorca

    Authentic Mallorca at its best

One of the things that stand out for people visiting Mallorca is the fact that culture and tradition are not only preserved, but also enhanced. One of the demonstrations of this tradition is the existence of local markets, where you will find everything from crafts to Majorcan gastronomy. Every Wednesday in the afternoon a local market takes place in Colonia de Sant Jordi, offering you the opportunity to give you a clear vision and sense of Majorcan culture and tradition. Other markets held in the area are: Santanyí (Wednesday and Saturday morning) and Campos (Thursday and Saturday morning)
  • Es Pontàs, a natural monument

Excursion to Es Pontàs and Cala Santanyí

Es Pontàs is considered one of the most impressive natural monuments Mallorca holds, along with Ses Fonts Ufanes, Sa Foradada or Es Salt des Freu. Es Pontàs is a giant natural rock arch located on the coast between Cala Santanyí and Cala Llombards, very close to Colonia de Sant Jordi. One of our recommendations for guests is to enjoy a day at Cala Santanyí and take the opportunity to make this short excursion to Es Pontàs, where you will find a viewpoint on top of a cliff from where you will absolutely fall in love a little more with the natural beauty of Mallorca.
